Disclosure of Personal Information

ShoWare is committed to protecting your personal information and maintaining its confidentiality. Personal information collected through our ticketing platform is used only for purposes directly related to ticket sales and event services.

The personal information you provide to Mount Royal University is collected under the authority of the Post-Secondary Learning Act (s.65) and the Protection of Privacy Act (ss. 4(a) and (c)). This information is collected for the purpose of processing ticket purchases, delivering tickets, communicating important event information (including updates, changes, or cancellations), responding to inquiries, and supporting related administrative activities such as patron lists and event coordination.

Where applicable, Mount Royal University may input collected personal information into automated systems to support these purposes, including generating communications, evaluating services, or improving operational processes.

Your personal information is collected directly from you unless otherwise permitted by law. The University collects only the information that is necessary for its programs and activities.

Access to your personal information is limited to the presenting organization associated with your event and authorized University personnel. Mount Royal University does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. However, when you register for events hosted by external presenters, your personal information may be disclosed to the third-party organization responsible for delivering the event in order to provide event-related services. In such cases, this disclosure is consistent with the purpose for which the information was originally collected.

In situations where disclosure of personal information falls outside of these consistent purposes, Mount Royal University will obtain your explicit consent. Any such consent will clearly identify what information will be shared, with whom, and for what purpose.

Payment information, such as credit card details, is collected and processed by Moneris Solutions, a third-party service provider operating outside the custody or control of the University, for the sole purpose of completing payment transactions.

From time to time, aggregated (non-identifiable) information may be used to generate reports, improve services, or support business partnerships. These reports do not identify individual users.

Changing Personal Information

You may at any time modify or change any information you have previously provided to us by clicking on "My Account", then choose the appropriate section to edit, review, or delete your personal information. Changes will be updated immediately. You may also contact us at mrtickets@mtroyal.ca and we will be happy to change, modify or delete any information for you.

Changes in Policy

If you have any concerns or questions with respect to our Privacy Policy, please feel free to contact us at mrtickets@mtroyal.ca. By using this site, you are agreeing to the conditions of this Privacy Policy. DO NOT USE THIS SITE IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS PRIVACY POLICY. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy in whole or in part it will be posted on the site. Please check this page periodically for changes.

Ticket Reselling Instructions

Resell your tickets directly through your online patron account. Here’s how it works:

  1. Log in to your account on tickets.mru.ca and locate the tickets for your performance. The purchase will show as “Completed” unless you've taken action.
  2. Head to My Account and select the order number for the ticket(s) you want to resell.
  3. If resale is enabled for the event, select $ Resell My Tickets.
    Check the box next to each ticket you wish to resell; you’ll see the face value displayed.
  4. Click Continue at the bottom of the page. You’ll need to acknowledge the Terms and Conditions before moving forward.
  5. Once you click Confirm, your ticket will be Listed for Sale and you’ll see a red Cancel Resale button in case you change your mind.

Terms of Use

  1. All sales are final. No request for cancellations, changes or refunds is accepted.

    1a. Tickets may be resold by the patron if reselling is enabled for the performance. For ticket resale, log into your account on tickets.mru.ca and view your order. To enable a resell, select $ Resell My Tickets and follow the prompts.

    1b.Each ticket is a revocable license and may be reclaimed or invalidated, and admission refused, upon refunding the purchase price.

    1c. The resale of this ticket at a higher price than the original sale price is grounds for seizure and cancellation without written authorization from the artist or event promoter.
  2. Refunds for tickets are only issued for a cancelled or postponed event. In all instances, only the cost of the ticket is refunded and all fees are forfeited.
  3. If your tickets are to be mailed, you should receive them within a reasonable amount of time, generally 7 to 10 days. If you do not, please contact Mount Royal University Theatres Tickets - no later than 4pm on the day of for a weekday performance or 4pm on a Friday for a Saturday or Sunday performance to insure proper Mount Royal University Theatres Tickets attention.
  4. If your tickets are to be "held at will call", they will be at the venue box office at the time of performance. The box office is usually open no later than 60 minutes before curtain time. It would be helpful if you can arrive early to allow for parking and to avoid the last minute rush.
  5. You must have the credit card you used for the purchase with you for identification. If someone else is picking up the tickets, either that same credit card or a photocopy of it with an authorization note from you must be presented. It would also be helpful to have with you a copy of your order confirmation and the confirmation number.
  6. In the event that a performance is either cancelled or postponed, Mount Royal University Theatres Tickets will make every effort to contact every patron via email, time permitting.
  7. While Mount Royal University Theatres Tickets regrets the inconvenience caused by these circumstances, Mount Royal University Theatres Tickets cannot be held responsible for any cost or damage such postponement or cancellation may incur. Similarly, the conduct of events and performances for tickets purchased is the sole responsibility of the events' organizers and venue operators, Mount Royal University Theatres Tickets cannot be held responsible or liable for injuries, loss or damages incurred by patrons while attending these events.
  8. All patrons purchasing from Mount Royal University Theatres Tickets must do so in the light of the above limitations.
  9. Refunds on tickets purchased are made for a cancelled or postponed event only. In all instances when a ticket is refunded, only the cost of the ticket is refunded.
