Accessibility options

We offer a variety of accessibility options in our various options, and do our best to accommodate all of our patrons. Our accessibility varies by space, as below.

For parking, please visit the MRU Parking Services website. All of our buildings have accessible entrances, with either ramps or lifts.

Bella Concert Hall

Wheelchair spaces

B3, W105, W106, C226, C227, Box E1, C301, and C332. These spaces do not have a fixed seat, and are accessible without any stairs or ramps. These seats also have Preferred Companion seats next to them - if you're attending with someone, and would like to sit with them, please request a PCS. If someone has already purchased it, they will be moved to a house-held seat elsewhere in the theatre.

Hearing Assistance

If you struggle to hear the performance, please ask for a pair of our Sennheiser HDI 830 headphones at the Box Office. These headphones connect to our sound system using an infrared receiver, and can help amplify the sound for quieter performances.

Transfer Arm seats

For these seats, the arm on the aisle swings out of the way, to aid entrance/exit.

If you need any other assistance - avoiding stairs, extra time to get seated, or anything else - please speak to one our ushers, or call us directly at 403.440.7770.

Wright Theatre

Wheelchair spaces

Left WC1, Right WC1 and WC2. We offer wheelchair spaces to either side of the theatre. If you're attending with someone else, please request a companion seat - we will add a non-fixed seat next to the wheelchair space.

Oversized Seats

We offer several oversized seats in various locations in the Wright Theatre, which are wider than the standard theatre seat.

Leacock Theatre

Wheelchair spaces

W1 through W5. We offer wheelchair spaces at the back of the theatre. These seats also have Preferred Companion seats next to them - if you're attending with someone, and would like to sit with them, please request a PCS. If someone has already purchased it, they will be moved to a house-held seat elsewhere in the theatre.

The Nickle Theatre is not wheelchair accessible.

For patrons with mobility issues, we have priority seating areas at the end of each row - as the theatre doesn't have assigned seating, please mention any accommodations we can help with to one of the ushers on duty.
